David Roustoby was convicted of the murder of John David Clarke 43.
He lured him to a bedsit in Huntington Road on 17 April 2007 and gave him alcohol with diazepam in it and then strangled him. With the help of his ex-girlfriend he then took his body to Towthorpe Bridge over the River Foss near York and threw it in.
An open verdict was initially returned at John Clarke's inquest in 2008 but David Roustoby was arrested for his murder in April 2020 and later convicted on 15 October 2020.
